What are the possible side effects of promethazine injection (Adgan, Anergan 50, Antinaus 50, Pentazine, Phenergan)?

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Tell your doctor right away if you have any of these serious side effects:

twitching, or uncontrollable movements of your eyes, lips, tongue, face, arms, or legs;
tremor (uncontrolled shaking), drooling, trouble swallowing, problems with balance or walking;

Promethazine hydrochloride injection, is a sterile, pyrogen-free solution for
deep intramuscular or intravenous administration. Promethazine hydrochloride
(10H-phenothiazine-10-ethanamine, N, N, α-trimethyl-, monohydrochloride,
(±)-) is a racemic compound and has the following structural formula:







Each mL contains either 25 mg or 50 mg promethazine hydrochloride with 0.1 mg edetate disodium, 0.04 mg calcium chloride, 0.25 mg sodium metabisulfite, and 5 mg phenol in water for injection. The pH range is 4.0 to 5.5, buffered with acetic acid-sodium acetate, and it is sealed under nitrogen.
