What are the possible side effects of fluorouracil topical (Carac, Efudex, Fluoroplex)?

Serious side effects are not likely to occur. Stop using fluorouracil topical and seek emergency medical attention if you experience an allergic reaction (shortness of breath; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, face, or tongue; or hives).

FLUOROPLEX® (fluorouracil) 1% Topical Cream is an antineoplastic/antimetabolite
product for dermatological use. Fluorouracil has the empirical formula C4H3FN2O2
and a molecular weight of 130.08. It is sparingly soluble in water and slightly
soluble in alcohol. The pH is approximately 8.5.
